Wonderland - 7

Shota/Els
_

She didn't know how she could have made such a silly statement.

'Just kissing'.

What had she been thinking?!

And worse yet, Aizawa was a man of his word. Her heart swelled as if to burst when she realized he could easily have swept her into his bed after five minutes - but he didn't. His hot gray eyes told her he knew, he felt it in her body language, how she clutched him so eagerly.

And still he only kissed her.

Lightly, softly, now slipping his tongue inside, then breaking apart. Caressing her neck, rubbing her furry ears while he mouthed her lips gently over and over again. She was overwhelmed by his passion, the ability to convey his mood so clearly without speaking. When she stared into his eyes pleadingly, he smiled and shook his head.

No. Only kisses.

Elly shamelessly followed his gentle lead, obeying instantly when he nudged or pet her anywhere. He had to be persistent, because she had become far more excited from his mere touch than she had ever experienced. Something about this man fit so perfectly in her very being. She suddenly knew she was deeply in love, and to be so certain so fast was exhilarating, the same way a carnival ride was frightening but fun.

"Sho - "

"Hush, Ches," he told her quietly. "I know."

"Maybe not." She laughed softly. No, she was pretty sure he didn't understand this, and yet his next kiss was fluttering, brief.

"Mmn. You're thinking how you feel about me - us." He met her shocked expression with one of those winning grins of his, the ones that creeped everyone else out. "It was only logical."

"You - you fuzzball!" She bat at his chest, abashed. "Don't bring logic into this!"

"Fuzzball?" He protested mildly.

"Well, yeah." She pouted, not really meaning it. "Your scruff."

"You like my fuzz." He rubbed his cheek on hers, eliciting a cry that sounded suspiciously like a meow. "What's wrong, kitty?"

"You - that's like, you know." Her voice was so strangled he could barely make out what she was saying. "The cat thing we talked about."

"Marking? But I am affectionate... and possessive," he growled, kissing her once more, "of you."

"That's it, we have to stop. I need to..." She sat up and he backed away without complaint, reaching out only to steady her when she wobbled. "You doing it back to me has a different meaning. I need to relax."

He took her hand. "Come on. I'll walk you back to your hotel. The cool night air will help calm us both down."

"Good idea."

The hotel was not far from campus, which is why she chose it. She heard they did a lot of business during the sports festival, and it was run neatly and well. He commented on this as they checked in at the front desk.

"Good security measures."

"That's another reason I chose here for my stay." She didn't bring up the fact that she wasn't here permanently. It worried her, but he always seemed so calm about everything it soothed her fears without her even mentioning them. When they were standing in front of her door and had exchanged their good night wishes he surprised her.

"By the way, I do feel that way about you." Then he grinned and kissed her once, a chaste sort on the corner of her mouth.

Elly was left to wonder exactly what "that way" meant as he shambled down the hall to the stairs.

That scruffy bastard.
