Vindictive Nature

"Ugh." Elly was flopped in one of their dining room chairs when Hizashi found her, hunched over her phone with her striped tail swishing behind her. "I can't believe them."

"Wait, them, uh - what's up, babe?" Hizashi peered over her shoulder. "Trouble?"

"Nahh, not real trouble. Bullshit with an online seller." The Insanity Hero shook her head ruefully, a little smile on her lips. "I hate leaving bad feedback, you know. But when it's quite deserved, I feel the need to warn others of how unprofessionally I've been treated."

He settled his chin in the crook of her neck, nuzzling. "H'wha happened?"

"Well..." She paused to collect her thoughts. "I bought something, but the seller didn't update me on the status for quite awhile. So naturally, I asked when it would ship."

"Mnn hmm."

Her ears flicked at the sound of his pleasant hum. "I got told it would be sent 'the next day'."

He chuckled. "Let me guess..."

"Yeah, no. You're right - it didn't. Several days later, it's marked as shipped, but 'carrier unknown' and no tracking. In other words, it wasn't shipped. So now they've lied to me <i>twice</i> - once when they said it would ship the next day, twice when they claimed to ship but didn't." She toyed with the case on her phone, watching the glitter as it shone in the overhead light. "After almost ten more days, it was like, one day left before I could open a case for a refund... and <i>then</i> they posted a tracking number. The day before. Which very likely meant they're gaming the system, biding time."

"Huh." He reached out and caressed the back of her hand, encouraging her to drop the phone. She set it aside and turned her head to grin a fanged grin at him. "Oh no, not the mad cat smile -"

She giggled loudly as he rolled his eyes. "Hizashi! I just wanna vent."

"I know, dear." He pushed his glasses up on his nose and gestured dramatically in the air. "Vent away!"

"Okay, um. Well, it was, I dunno, four more days and the tracking number showed that the label had been created but it still wasn't shipped."

Hizashi groaned loudly. "The drama!"

She laughed harder. "Honestly! I opened a case so that I wasn't out the money 'cause, you know, it might time out before I could report it. I said I knew it might be the mail's issue, but that I had been lied to twice and did not trust the seller. I asked for a refund since the place wanted to know what I wanted, and I said if - if! -- it didn't show up I'd like that. I was willing to close it without the refund if it showed up. You think I had thrown a knife at this person - they went ballistic, sending me messages telling me god knows what, since after one answer back I deleted any others without reading 'em. But they refunded me, which I guess proves they hadn't shipped it yet? I guess? And they started squawking that I was scamming them and whatnot, and that they hadn't lied to me twice."

Hizashi sputtered. "Uh - but they did..?"

"Yes. I left one star feedback on everything. I was honest and lined the facts up. The seller has rebutted a bunch of other buyers, by the way, almost always claiming that the buyers are harassing them and, of course, they're right and we're wrong." She shook her head again. "The <i>facts</i> are there. It's all documented. And if they keep claiming to be in the right the more bad feedback shows on their profile, it's just proving their unprofessional nature. Somebody once said, '<i>if you run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole.</i>.' So, surprise."

"Soap opera done, princess?"

"Who knows?" She made a face. "The person has our address. Hopefully they realize that it would be highly illegal and they would be suspect if they tried anything, but you never know."

"Aw. It'll be okay. We've weathered far worse."

"I know. It's the little things that don't need to be so terribly blown out of proportion that get me, sometimes."

He kissed her on the cheek. "Anyway. Burgers?"

"Ooh! Yeah!" Elly jumped up, happily stuffing her cell phone in her bag nearby. "Let's go! I'm starving!"

Sunday Fun Day

It was a glorious Sunday, last day of the weekend  where Hizashi Yamada  - aka Present Mic -- could spend time completely alone with his girlfriend. They had eaten breakfast and showered, but in grabbing a t-shirt out of his closet he noticed that it simply wouldn't do.

Elly was comfortably seated on the couch painting her nails while he rummaged around in the back for what he needed. Eventually her man padded out of the back in bare feet wearing a shirt with a mustache on the front and the words: "<i>free mustache rides</i>" on it. Underneath that, very obviously added in craft paint in his scraggly English was added "<i>...for girlfriend only</i>".

"Paint's dry," he called out proudly as he rounded the corner into the living room. He flipped his long ponytail over his shoulder and posed so his partner could read his masterpiece.

"Mmn? Oh, the shirt - is <i>that</i> what were you doing in there?" Elly's furry ears perked as she read his addition, and she burst out laughing.

"Yep." He flashed her a huge grin. "You got yer stuff out, an' I remembered the paints Eri used last time she visited." He stared for awhile at the little bucket of nail polish and materials on the coffee table in front of her. Then he waved one hand around in the air. "I'm'a sit, babe. Pause for a sec."

"'Kay."

He sat close beside her and leaned in to snuggle into her neck. "Mmmmwah."

"Zashi, that tickles, you dork!"

"Oh no!" He called out in mock dismay. "The horror! You might mess up yer pretty claws." He made a paw with one hand and scratched the air. "Meee<i>ow</i>."

"Very funny, mister." She turned and kissed him on the lips. "You do yours, then."

Hizashi shrugged. "A'ight." He pursed his lips as he dug around in the container looking through all the colors. "Aha!"

Elly squinted at his choice, held proudly up to shine under the lighting. "Isn't black kind of uh, typical?"

"Okay, but I <i>like</i> the black. It goes with all my <i>outfits</i>." He rolled his eyes and painted one hand, flapping it about to dry it quickly.

Elly giggled. "You're right. How about adding a coat of this clear sparkly stuff to it?"

"Ooh."

"That's cute."

Hizashi held his hand up, admiring the shiny paint. "I like the glitter. You really love shiny stuff, huh?"

"Yeah. When I was little I kind of hated it, like the color pink, because society forced it on me since I was a girl. But now I've come around. I can like whatever I like."

"Good realization, that." He wiggled his eyebrows at her.

"Oh, don't worry." Elly had tested her nails for the third time and determined they were finally dry. She slid down off the couch and crawled over in front of him, pushing the table farther away with her butt. "When I <i>really</i> like something, <i>nothing</i> can keep me from it."

"Ooooh." He raised his leg up, wiggling his toes. "Gonna paint my tootsies, lover?"

"I could do that." She nodded sagely, staring up at him with a sly grin. "<i>Or</i> I could suck you off." Her head cocked to one side, eyelashes batting ingeniously. "Your choice, love."

"Wha - me? I thought I was the one wearin' the shirt!" He nodded, though, when she caressed the front of his sweatpants. "Yeah, I'm not gonna turn down the offer."

Elly carefully tugged while he raised his lower half off the couch. When his pants were puddled around his ankles it was revealed he wasn't wearing underwear and she gave him a sly look. "Really?"

"What?" He wiggled his hips, his rising erection bobbing in the air. "I figured we were gonna fool around, right? I mean..." He grinned at her. "Surprise?"

"It's really not that much of a shock." Her fingers toyed with the tip as it firmed further in front of her, and she leaned down to gently kiss him there.

"Ohhhhh." Hizashi sighed deeply, sinking down on the couch. "That's <i>nice</i>, baby. I love you so much." He smiled a lazy smile, his lashes fluttered low over his glorious hazel eyes as he watched her head bob slowly in his lap. The weight in his loins increased steadily as she gently lapped around the swollen head, her wrist moving to pump the lower half of his penis. His breath caught when she suckled for a moment, her speed increasing just long enough to get him panting and tense.

"Sh - shit, you gonna edge me like that?" He groaned when she dug her freshly painted nails in the flesh of his left thigh, slowly scratching. "Easy, kitty! Owwoww... oooooh. Fuck. Fuck, that <i>stings</i>." A pause. "Do it again."

"Mmnn hmm."

"You're a fucking <i>goddess</i>," he gasped when she did, struggling to keep still. "Yes! I'm gonna - nnngh... babe, mute button! Quick!"

Elly drew back quickly and flung herself into his lap, one hand still working his slick, flushed member.

He pressed firmly into the kiss, breathing hard and wanting so very badly to <i>scream</i>. But he had very painstakingly been conditioned not to make loud sounds when they were kissing. They'd worked this out after the second time he broke the windows in the entire complex, with a little help brainstorming with friends. He'd never hurt his beloved; it was the ultimate control. So, although his orgasm was fierce, he merely whimpered and kissed her with all the passion he could muster.

She worked him gently through it until he made a snorting sound and she knew she'd accidentally gone too long. His nose was scrunched up and his eyes watery behind his glasses.

"Sorry!"

"Nuh, s'okay..." He reached down and yanked his sweatpants up enough to use them to wipe some of the excess mess off. "I, uh, gotta get to the bathroom though."

"Yep." Elly kissed him on the forehead. "Cuddles when you get back."

"Yeah." He gave her a dreamy smile as he waddled awkwardly into the hall, holding his pants to one side. "Fuck me, I love weekends."

"Later," she called out impishly, and he burst out laughing.

Temptation 24

They made love and briefly cuddled, but since they were using birth control and not condoms, she soon darted into the bathroom to use the toilet and shower. Hizashi snuck in at some point as well, bringing fresh clothing for them both.

Once clean, feeling refreshed and more awake, Elly left the angel to himself to finish up, since taking care of his long hair took some time. She kissed him briefly as he ran a comb through his golden locks, and he smiled softly at her.

"Go get your coffee, love," he suggested gently. "I set the timer last night so it should be done by now."

"Nmm. Can smell it..." Halfway there, however, she froze as she heard a muffled sound coming from the couch. Her throat closed up and one hand stole shakily up to her mouth.

Not many have heard a demon cry, and even then, tears of rage were what was to be expected. But the low, nearly imperceptible sobbing held nothing of anger. She peered around the wall and saw Shota, face down on the couch with his dark wings covering him and quivering with emotion.

She must have made a sound, or perhaps he just sensed her presence because his head snapped up, suddenly wary. He stood, his wings disappearing and eyes darting nervously around. His normally pale face was blotchy with color, his cheeks streaked with wetness. Shota rubbed hastily at his eyes and seemed surprised at the feeling of moisture. He jerked back, startled, then darted into the hallway, probably to the bathroom to clean up. Elly tried to leap back, but it was too late.

They collided in a crash, Shota barking out a curse as he grabbed her so she wouldn't end up on the floor. He fell instead, wincing as his hip banged the wall.

Hizashi jumped out of the bathroom in his boxer briefs, his eyes wide behind his glasses that were still fogged over. "What's wrong?!"

"Nothing," the dark-haired incubus replied gruffly. He stood up, carefully setting Elly on her feet. "If you're done in the bathroom, I need to wash up."

She shook her head, dazed. "Do you really?"

"No," he admitted through clenched teeth.

"Then let's sit on the couch. We need to talk." She tugged on his hand, only letting go once they were both sitting. Shota refused to look at her or Hizashi, who was deciding on whether or not to get dressed or be an immediate part of the conversation. He sensed he was going to be needed at some point.

Elly took a deep breath. "Shota, are you sure you're not jealous?"

"No," he said firmly. "I'm not. I've said this before. You two, together, is an excellent solution to -"

"Are you upset in <i>any</i> way, then?"

The demon choked mid-sentence and cast an annoyed glare at her when she interrupted him. His lips firmed and he stated very carefully, "I haven't experienced this before, so I'm not sure what is wrong."

"That's very vague. I'm sorry, but I'm going to be direct." She squinted at him thoughtfully, then laid a hand on his. Shota twitched, almost jerking it away but holding back at the last second. "Were you crying?"

Smoke puffed out his nostrils and his pupils burned like twin coals, smoldering in quiet rage as he sat beside her. "Yes."

"Because of us?" She indicated Hizashi sheepishly making his way towards the coffee pot, still in his underwear.

"I don't know. Most likely, yes." He turned to her, meeting her eyes with the fires of his own. "Demons are tortured beings, and I'm beginning to think my assignment here may have been more punishment for <i>me</i> than anything to do with you."

Elly yanked her hand back, hurt that he'd suggest such a thing. "Shota! How could you say that?!"

"Because I love you, mistress. And my being a demon is what holds you back from loving me."

Hizashi cleared his throat from where he'd been listening in at the kitchen. "Hey," he called out in a neutral tone. "I can feel your suffering, you know." He walked over and sat next to Elly, placing a cup of coffee on the table. She exclaimed softly and picked it up, the warmth soothing in her cupped hands.

"Great." Shota glared balefully at his roommate. "I'm sure it makes your boss happy."

"No one's suffering should be a happy occasion," he disagreed. "You know I only 'vibe' clean emotions? I can sense your love for her."

Elly nearly spit out her coffee. "Wait, what? You can?"

"I told you," the demon said stiffly. "But <i>now</i> you believe because he repeats it?"

"I - I don't know, it's just, you're a demon. We're taught you're here to hurt us and it's hard to get over that." She carefully swallowed and then set the cup down. "I did believe you, Shota. I do. But then it brings up something else, and it's hard for me to believe <i>I'm</i> corrupted." She started to shake and Hizashi reached out, concerned.

"Elly?"

Shota frowned, concern overriding his grumpiness. He placed a hand on her forehead. "Fuck, Zashi," he grunted. "We're not concentrating enough on <i>her</i>. You get the good emotions, right? I feel the bad, and she's really upset."

She shook her head. "No, I know, but I'm okay -"

"Bullshit," Shota snorted. "And I know what's causing it."

"What? Stress over the case?"

"Guys..."

"No."

"Well? What, then?"

"Guys!" Elly shouted, her cheeks stained pink from holding in her emotions so tightly. "I'm guilty, okay? I'm not supposed to love two men. I don't want to lose either one of you. I'm a <i>terrible</i> person!"

"Those are your societal norms speaking. The ones you grew up with that told you how to think." Shota nodded towards the angel, who was finishing the cup of coffee, his eyes worried.

"Uh. Well, he's right, to a degree." He sighed and put the cup back on the table again. "Although the Old Testament describes numerous examples of polygamy among devotees to God, most Christian groups have historically rejected the practice of polygamy and have upheld monogamy alone." Hizadhi paused. "I'm ashamed to say I doubted, yet I researched it and the short of it is that <i>religion</i> says no, but the Book says it's fine. I personally would go by the Book rather than human interpretation."

Elly remained unconvinced. "So an <i>angel</i> is telling me it's okay."

He squirmed a little under her scrutiny, but held firm. "People twist the words to mean what they want all the time. The debates about this focus almost exclusively on polygyny, though - a man with more than one wife -- rather than polyandry, which would, uh, I guess apply to us. If we were married."

"I feel bad about it. If there's more than one of anything, there's going to be a favorite. <i>That's</i> human nature, and I don't want to hurt anyone. I'm..." She breathed in a shaky breath, grasping his arm suddenly. "I don't want to lose you!"

Shota watched this display with lidded eyes. He knew she loved the angel more than him already - did she not realize that? All he wanted was his piece of her heart that she kept denying him, small as it might be.

"You won't, love," Hizashi told her quietly. "I told you. Wherever you go, I'm there. That means I'll share you if need be. He's... not really bad. I think."

"You're serious." Shota sat stunned on the opposite side of the couch. "You <i>are</i>? Well, I'll be damned."

The angel snorted laughter this time. "Uh huh. Nothing new, then."

Elly stared at them both as if they'd gone mad. "B - but, but..."

"I'll explain it in better detail, mistress." Shota pulled her hand towards him and kissed her palm. This effectively quieted her so he could get her full attention. "Our relationship will be based on our needs. None of us are interested in anyone else - it's just Hizashi, me, and you. Correct?"

Hizashi nodded towards her and she did, albeit hesitantly. "Yeah, I mean, but am I wrong to keep you all to myself?"

"No," Shota told her gently but firmly. "You're not wrong, because we're <i>all consenting to that</i>. No one else. You need that commitment, mistress. I know you."

"You've got it," Hizashi murmured. The dark-haired being grinned at him, tugging on her hand to suggest he wanted more contact. Elly glanced over, worried, but the angel nodded. "Yeah."

Shota pulled her onto his lap with a pleased growl, some of the discontent draining from his features. His grin grew bigger as he continued, inhaling the freshly-washed scent of her hair and tickling her neck with his stubble as he grew closer. "All we need to be is honest with each other. If you want one or both of us -"

Hizashi choked. "Both?!"

"...or <i>both</i> of us," the demon repeated, staring directly into the other's startled golden eyes, "just say so. Whatever you need. We'll do the same and tell you when we crave attention."

"W - wait a minute, both of ..!"

"Some things can wait." Shota shrugged, licking the sensitive skin near her ear while he continued eye contact with the shaken angel. "I, however, am not one of them. Not anymore."

Temptation 23

Hizashi was so much more attentive after that day. Before it seemed he was afraid of stepping into the incubus's territory, but now he responded without thought, pulling her close and kissing her affectionately throughout the day and night.

A few nights after that, Elly was restless. Although more loving, Hizashi didn't sleep with her at night and she was having problems adapting to her new schedule. She kept getting up to go to the bathroom or get a drink, which wasn't anything like her usual sleep pattern. After the third time in as many hours, the angel surmised she wasn't able to sleep and slipped noiselessly out of his hammock in the corner of the living room.

"Hey." He tapped lightly on her door.

"Zashi?"

"Yeah." He opened it and padded over to the bed on bare feet. "Changing your schedule is hard, huh?"

Elly groaned. "<i>Yes</i>. I've slept days for so long that closing my eyes at night is almost impossible." She pulled back the covers in silent invitation, and he joined her.

"I can help." Hizashi snuggled close, nuzzling her cheek with his mustache. She giggled faintly, and he kissed her. "Get comfortable first."

She fussed about until she was spooned closely behind him, one of his arms draped across her middle. "Nmm."

"Good? Okay. Close your eyes, and listen." He breathed in slowly and started to sing.

Elly's heart at raced at first; he was serenading her! This was, hands down, the most romantic action anyone had displayed for her in her lifetime. And the <i>words</i>, oh, the words. He sang of love and of comfort, of holding her in his arms and always being there. After a few moments his soothing, melodic voice had its effect and she drifted off. He smiled and settled down to rest as well, his heart full with love at the fact that this was their first time sleeping together at night.

"Sleep well," he whispered, kissing her hair softly before closing his eyes.

Shota's eyes popped open as soon as the angel got up. He was also aware she wasn't sleeping well but had chosen to monitor it instead of interfere. As Hizashi crept down the hall he tossed on his side, a resigned sigh escaping him.

<i>Maybe I should have gone to help</i>.

He felt more relief than anything, however, when she dropped off to sleep.

Of course, a night together meant that there would be a morning, as well. When Elly woke to the sounds of birds chirping outside, she felt his arm still around her and a happiness she had never known. Hizashi sensed her mood, and, as he'd been laying there awake for a good fifteen minutes already, wrapped his other around her, bringing her close for a cuddle.

"Good morning, baby."

Elly yawned and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. "Aww." She sighed, inhaling his sleepy scent. "I really, really <i>like</i> this. I had the best night's sleep I've had in ages."

"That makes me happy." He nuzzled her neck and she giggled.

"It makes you very happy, apparently."

"Nmm... wha? I'm affectionate. You know th - ohhh." He blushed. "That. It, uh, happens in the morning."

"I know, it's a normal thing. I'm just teasing." She kissed his reddened cheek. "Don't worry about it, sweetie."

Hizashi's hands wriggled around and slipped underneath her long shirt. "Okay... but only 'cause it looks like I'm not the only one who woke up like that." He rubbed a hardening nipple with a careful thumb and was rewarded with a sharp inhale of breath chased by a moan. "You know, we kind of rushed last time."

Elly squirmed a little as he lifted her shirt and started kissing up from mid-belly to her breasts. "Yeah."

"We don't have anywhere to go today." He kissed the nipple he'd been teasing and flicked his tongue out to lick. "We can really take our time," he hummed, sucking the nub between his soft, wet lips.

"Zashi!" She choked, grasping the back of his head to tug him eagerly forward. "Yes. Yes, I <i>like</i> that."

He rested his cheek there, toying with her other breast with his fingers until her hands caressed his neck and ran down his spine.

"Ooooh." Hizashi faltered, his warm breath ghosting over her skin and giving her goosebumps when she rubbed his rear, clad in his favorite soft boxer briefs. "And I like <i>that</i>."

"Oh?" She let her fingers wander ticklishly lower and to her gleeful surprise, he whimpered and spread his legs so she could have better access. She paused, then teased the damp bit of cloth stretched around his tightly drawn balls. So many magazines suggested this was the way to drive a man wild but she'd yet to see it ...until tonight.

The angel's body spasmed and he groaned. "Wh - what're you doing, love?"

"Don't know," Elly truthfully replied. "Just following your body language." She dipped lower and gently stroked his straining member, then slid back up.

The breath wheezed out of him and he saw stars. He wasn't sure what was going on because it felt good and sort of uncomfortable at the same time. He couldn't deny one thing, however.

"Don't stop," he sighed. "It's making me so hard for you!" She pulled the briefs off and palmed his length all at once, causing him to whine.

"Shhh." She laughed a little and pressed her lips to his.

"I'll be quiet," he whispered, smiling into the kiss. "First time everything was unexpected. This time I know it's so sweet."

Her heart fluttered at his choice of words. "Yes," she sighed, arching her back to meet him as he swelled further. "So sweet."

"Oh, baby," he whispered, shivering lightly all over. "Would you tell me? Please? That you want me?"

She caught his face in two hands and dragged him close for a kiss. "I want you, Zashi," she breathed into his mouth. "Want you to fill me up."

He closed his eyes in rapture. "It feels so wicked to ask for praise. I love hearing that you want me, though." This time was easier, though he still used one hand to check and guide himself. Once he was set he thrust slowly, moaning and biting his lip at the pleasure that caused such a crushing weight in his groin.

Elly moved her legs dreamily along his waist, whispering his name in sleepy rapture. "Zashi... yes. Oh, yes, dear."

They had pulled the bed away from the wall days ago, since that was the one the couch was placed against in the other room. Though they had done this and were both trying their best to be quiet, there was no way to stifle the sounds of the squeaking mattress or their heavy breathing.

Demons had very, very good ears.
