Wonderland - 5

Els/Shota
_

Elly took a deep breath and stretched her arms above her head as she prepared for a new day at UA. Since she was from America, she had known they would ask her to sit in with the english teacher at least a few times. Mic was drinking coffee at his desk.

"First class is 1-A," he told her as the bell rang. "At this point, Eraser's sucked all the enthusiasm out of 'em."

She snickered. "He's hard on them, all right." But often not as hard as they think, she thought to herself. He had mentioned a few "jokes" he made that she knew the students had taken seriously. Elly was mentoring the invisible girl and the teenager often talked about his class. She smiled at her as they filed in, and despite Mic's prediction that they would be drained, she was soon being bombarded with questions.

"Are you really dating Mr. Aizawa?" The bubbly girl with the bright cheeks asked the question in a tone of utter amazement.

She flicked her ears in amusement. "Yes, Uraraka. Is there something wrong with him?"

"N - nothing's wrong, I just..."

"Your tone implied you thought Eraserhead wasn't dating material."

"He looks like a bum," someone snickered from the back of the class.

Mic coughed. "Guy's my friend since high school, okay, but I hafta side with them on this one. He's a hella scruffy bastard. Not particularly loveable." The class nodded as one with him, in complete agreement.

"To you, but not me obviously." She lashed her tail to one side as he gave her that crazy one wide-eye, one half-closed look. "He's a good, strong man. Not just physically, either. And I think he's cute."

"Whaaat?!"

"Ew," someone chuckled. There were other sounds, laughter and some talk, that cut off all at once. Unfortunately, Elly didn't notice the sudden silence and kept going.

"I think he's extremely handsome. His eyes, especially." Mic hissed air in between his teeth and pointed, wincing. "Annnd he's right there, isn't he?"

"Glad to hear my girlfriend thinks I'm attractive." The laconic man shuffled close and stood near her without exerting any more effort to show affection. His right hand was gripping his yellow sleeping bag. It appeared lumpier than usual.

Mic nearly fell over. "Girlfriend?!"

"We're dating, what's surprising about that?" Elly set one hand on her hip and demonstrated her ability to grin in at least as frightful a manner as Aizawa.

The dark haired man raised an eyebrow at his stunned friend and turned to see the students in his class also frozen in shock. He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger. "I think we broke them."

"All of them?"

"Yes." He paused. "Though, with Mic, it doesn't take much."

"Hey." The Voice Hero shook it off and glared at him. "Okay, then, what did you want?"

"I came to deliver the books you asked for." He reached inside his sleeping bag and dug out a stack. "Also, to ask Ches where she wanted to go for lunch."

"Wh - are you eating now?!"

Aizawa actually managed to look uncomfortable. "She made a very compelling argument for the benefits of me eating a more balanced diet."

"Shit, you are serious about her, aren't you?"

Aizawa muttered something about logic again under his breath that fooled no one. Elly smiled and placed a hand on his arm, squeezing once. She didn't mention he could have texted her the question since he already knew. The man was such a dear, he wanted to see her but would have died before admitting it. "Anywhere is fine."

He shrugged and shuffled back out.

"That." Mic pointed as the door closed behind him. "That is what you're saying is attractive."

Elly nodded happily. "Yep."
