Spin the Bottle

Els/Shota

_

"Spin the bottle?"

"The big kids were talking about it. I want to play."

Elly looked to Aizawa helplessly. She knew he couldn't refuse the little girl anything, but this?

He sighed. "Do you know how the game is played, Eri?"

"Yeah. You spin it and whoever it lands on gets something nice. Like a hug!"

Elly hid a smile behind one hand as she feigned a cough. The tired man glared at her, not fooled. "She's got you there, Aizawa. Eri likes hugs, and she's got a lot of catching up to do."

He rubbed the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger. "Sure... I guess."

She already had it set up in the common room, of course. The students were at other classes, so they were momentarily alone. An empty water bottle lay on a table in front of a comfortable couch. Eri sat between them, happily swinging her legs as they got settled.

"I'll go first!" She spun and the neck landed closest to Elly, so she gave her a huge hug. The woman smiled down at her warmly, hugging back. Aizawa looked quickly away. That scenario was both heart warming and painful at the same time.

He got Elly on his first spin, of course.

His face like a thundercloud, he opened his arms but didn't move. Elly raised an eyebrow, perking her ears towards him.

"You want me to come to you? Kinda looks like you don't want a hug."

"Yeah, aren't hugs nice? You look upset."

He grit his teeth. "It's fine."

"I think he wants something different." Eri pursed her lips, thinking. "Oh! Grownups kiss if they like each other."

Aizawa grabbed at his throat with a strangled sound. "Ack!"

"Is that what you were holding out for? You're more sly than I thought, Shota." He colored at the name change. Eri was quick to notice it as well and she watched, wide-eyed, as the two adults stared at each other.

The little minx had outwitted him; he realized now why she had wanted to play. The hugs were just an added bonus because her goal had been bringing them together. He had overheard her talking with the girls in his class a few days ago about how he should have a girlfriend. He'd broken the conversation up but it had obviously been on her mind for some time. Truthfully, he liked the student counselor very much but hadn't drawn up a plan to pursue her just yet. Eri had very neatly done it for him.

Aizawa got up and went over to Elly's side of the couch, kneeling partway to meet her. If the cat woman didn't want this he noticed she wasn't protesting at all. She actually looked quite nervous with her eyes cast down shyly. He quickly brushed his lips on her cheek, hoping he hadn't made things worse and that would take care of the matter. He had secretly texted Mic to call him for an alibi, so all he had to do was hold out a couple of minutes.

Eri grumbled to herself. Aizawa didn't know what he was doing. She had all sorts of neat books about princes and ladies and things now, and she knew that wasn't how you kissed a girl you liked!

He backed up, face flaming, and saw the pale girl had her arms crossed with her lower lip thrust out in a pout.

What now?

"I think she's upset you didn't give that your all," Elly whispered confidentially. "You know. Plus Ultra and all that, Sho." She giggled softly.

He gave her a sour look. "You've got to be kidding."

"Do you want to kiss me or not?"

He sighed wearily, rubbing a hand over his face. When he met her eyes again the gray pupils were like fiery twin coals staring her down. She gasped when he reached out, placing a warm hand at the back of her neck to cup it gently. This time his mouth pressed onto hers and that wasn't all; he kept his gaze on her when he did it. Elly's own eyes widened in shock. She thought everyone closed their eyes to kiss! The determined stare was so alluring she forgot where she was and parted her lips, offering more to the scruffy homeroom teacher. Aizawa's eyes finally slipped closed as the feeling of her tongue against his overwhelmed him.

His phone rang, but neither noticed. Eri reached over and very carefully muted it before sneaking back off to her room with a big grin on her face.
