There are things that death cannot touch

Aizawa addressed the knocking at his door with a flat, repressed rage. "I told you all to quit <i>bothering</i> me. Go away."

The knocking persisted, and he growled low under his breath as he pushed himself to his feet from where he'd been sitting on his couch. Empty protein packs fell from the cushions and he kicked some of them along with a random coffee cup out of his way as he brandished a fist at whoever dared disturb him on the other side of the door.

"Go away!"

When the person instead knocked louder, he swore violently and stomped through the wrappers and discarded clothing with purpose.

"I'm going to mute you for a week if it's you again, Yamada. And for anyone fucking else you're going to be sorry. I <i>told</i> you," he ripped the door open so hard the hinges squealed. "<i>leave me alo</i> - a - alone?"

Aizawa stared at the figure in the corridor outside. Not as tall as him, more slender, with well-rounded feminine curves, especially on the bottom. The person was wearing a long, dark coat with a hood pulled up, but they pulled it down as he faltered.

<i>Purple eyes... furry, perky cat's ears</i>.

"Y - you're <i>alive</i>." He paused, watching as U.A.'s counselor and Pro Hero Cheshire walked past him into his apartment. Aizawa numbly closed the door. "You're alive?"

"Hi, Aizawa." She took off her coat and ran her hands through her hair, which lay loose about her pale face instead of fanning out like usual. "I wanted to stop by -"

"You. Wanted to ...stop by?" The words seemed to fall from his mouth like ashes, dead and cold. "You ... <i>you</i>..!"

Elly's ears swiveled towards him as she sat on his couch, curling her tail beside her. "'Zawa? What's wrong? I thought you'd be at least relieved to see me."

"I thought you were dead," he said tersely. "I - we -- <i>all</i> thought you were dead!"

"Yes, well," she said a bit primly, "That was the point. I had to hide out for awhile, until they caught someone that was sort of, ah, gunning for me."

"But I looked for you." His voice had a tremor running through it that she only just noticed. She frowned, staring more closely at him.

Aizawa wore a black t-shirt and sweatpants - both with stains and a few rips in them here and there. His hair was a tangled mess and he looked like he hadn't shaved in a week or more. He was pale and his gray eyes bloodshot like normal, but the dark circles under them were larger, deeper.

"You look terrible," she noted, dismayed. "What happened?"

His eyes widened, and she saw his body tense. "What happened?! What happened was <i>you fucking died</i>! You - I thought you were dead for weeks."

"Months," Elly corrected absently. Had it really been so long? She had missed her new home, hadn't wanted to leave, but it had been so necessary she wasn't able to argue when one of the undercover agents had insisted.

The scruffy homeroom teacher flung himself on the couch, his eyes ablaze with fury. "You didn't let me know! You could've let me known somehow... I can keep a fucking secret!"

She blinked. "But - but why? I told no one, not even my family. They told me not to."

"Damn it, Cheshire!" He swore, pounding his fist on the wall. "I couldn't sleep, could barely eat these stupid gel packs and I haven't been able to concentrate on my fucking work! All I've been <i>doing</i> is..." He faltered to a stop, his eyes darting guiltily to the side.

Elly followed his gaze, and to her surprise saw empty tissue boxes and wadded up tissues among the food packs and coffee cups. "Did you cry for me?" She whispered slowly, uncertain if she were making the right assumption. Aizawa Shota rarely expressed that sort of emotion. Anger and pride, sure, and then mostly at his students only. Everyone else received the same stoic treatment.

He cleared his throat awkwardly. "I, err... look," he went on in a much softer tone. "Listen, I had a long fucking time to think you were gone. To think I'd been a fool and let you slip away from me." His ears started to burn but he kept his chin defiantly raised, his eyes on her own. "When I thought you were gone forever I started to miss you. A lot."

She opened her mouth to speak but he shook his head.

"No, Ches, let me say it. I missed you. It - <i>god</i>, it hurt so much. I'd been complacent, feeding my, ah, my needs with just seeing you every day. Knowing you were there. Watching you smile and hearing your voice, and then it was all gone."

"It wrecked me. It destroyed an important part inside me that you filled," he admitted, his jaw tensing at the admission. He plowed ahead anyway, gesturing about the room. "I haven't been taking proper care of myself, as you can see, and -" Aizawa was cut off abruptly, his eyes growing wide, as she leaned forward and kissed him. The kiss started out light, uncertain on her part. But when he felt her mouth on his he instinctively wrapped his arms around her and kissed back.

"Mnn... oh. Oh, shit, Ches." More kissing, and he licked her lips, a rush of excitement flooding through him when she parted them in an invitation to delve deeper. "Wait. Wait a minute."

They parted, panting and blushing hard with their arms around each other and their eyes locked in a passionate gaze.

Aizawa hummed, the sound a bit high pitched. "Huh! Th - that was not what I was expecting at all. You - you feel the same way for me?"

"I have for a long time."

"You - for a long time? Were you going to let me know?!"

"Were you?" She sniffed. "You're rather unapproachable, Aizawa. I mean, you barely socialize and the last time anyone mentioned dating you said, and I quote, 'romantic relationships are a waste of my time'."

"Ah." He coughed, uncomfortable. "Yes. I did say that." She sighed, her ears drooping, and he hastily tightened his hold. "No, I didn't mean it that way! Kayama was trying to set me up with someone at the time. I - I didn't want them. I wanted you." His voice dropped low.

"You want me?"

"Can't you tell?" Aizawa blushed deeper, fidgeting around. Her soft weight in his arms was doing things to him that were fairly obvious. "I'm sorry, ah, but it's a reaction I can't control. Not right now. Not with you in my arms."

"This?" She asked archly, brushing his shirt up to place a hand over his heart. The thumping was frequent, heavy. "Or did you mean ..?"

His skin jerked at her touch, abdomen tensing as he gasped. "Hnnf!"

Elly cupped the bulge in his soft pants, running a thumb over it while squeezing gently. "Oh, wow," she marveled quietly. "You're so hard already."

Aizawa stuttered wildly, his eyes rolling back in his head. "Of course I'm - <i>aaah</i>, I'm hard. You're here, you said you liked me, and you're stroking me harder!"

"Uh huh." She kissed him again. "So. Do you want to show me just how much you missed me?"

"Watch it, kitten," he warned with a rough growl. "I can only hold back so much. If you're not serious about this, you might just wind up with too much to handle."

She laughed at the obvious pet name. "We're not shining little angels, Aizawa. Both of us are down and dirty kind of heroes. So! I've showed you how I feel. Now, come here and give your, ah, <i>kitten</i>, some proof of your feelings."

He blinked at her comically for a split second, and then he was upon her, hot and wet and <i>toothy</i>.

"I'll show you <i>everything</i>."

"Oh, god, Aiz -"

He shut her up with a particularly fervent kiss. "No. <i>Shota</i>. Please."

"Shota, someone will see -"

"Yesss," he hissed, nipping at her tender throat. "They'll all see how your man marked you. Mine. You're back, and you're safe and you - you're mine at last."

She fell limp in his hold as he pressed her to the couch, stripping her of her clothing and kissing every inch of skin as it came into view. When she was nude, he sat up and impatiently ripped his shirt off to fly sailing across the room. She watched in amusement as he shimmered out of his pants.

"Shota, baby," she breathed as his member sprang into view.

He was hairier than most men she'd seen, his chest a splotches of dark right in the middle that ran down his sculpted abdomen down to his bristling batch of pubic hair. Scars laced his body, wrapping around his thighs and lower, one so near his twitching, erect penis that she winced as she stroked it.

"It was close," he agreed, breathing short and fast. "But not close enough. Now... protection?"

"I'm on the pill. Clean for hero work, like you. And no partners in - well, uh, a long time. Certainly not since the last month's testing."

"Me, too."

She licked her lips, eyeing the trickle of fluid running from the tip. "Then give that to me."

"Gladly." He laid on her and, in one quick, smooth movement had penetrated to the hilt. She cried out, tail fluffing out in shock at his accurate aim. "Th'matter, Ches? You get a little surprise?"

"How did you - ohhh, never mind, never mind. Just move. I feel so full and good."

Aizawa kissed her softly as they began, slow at first but gradually picking up speed. The couch wasn't really big enough for sex, but he propped his arms out, holding them both even as he moved.

"My kitten," he groaned loudly after a few minutes. "Ohhh, my kitty, my kitty cat, fucking... <i>miaow for me</i>." Elly let out a shocked little mew as his hips bucked faster, deeper. "Yes! That's it, that's the stuff. Sh - shit."

His left arm trembled, and he dropped his angle slightly to accommodate the sudden weakness. This angled his body and suddenly he found she was crying out almost continously as he thrust, her moans getting louder and more urgent.

"Yes! <i>Yes</i>!"

"There?" Aizawa took careful note and picked up the pace once more, his belly slapping on hers repeatedly. "<i>There</i> it is! There's my kitty's weak spot!" He crowed triumphantly.

"Don't stop, baby, oh God please don't stop, Shota, <i>oh Shota</i> -!"

"Call my name! Louder, kitten! Louder for your man!"

Elly quivered all over, the electric tension in her body building to unbearable levels. She threw her head back, gripping him tight with hands and thighs, and screamed his name as the pleasure burst within her.

Aizawa wasn't far behind. "Ches," he groaned. "Oh, kitten, do you feel me coming inside you? I <i>love</i> you, kitten."

"L - love you, too!"

"Yes. Fff - ahhh, that's so much. So much for my kitty. All for you." He swallowed, his Adam's apple working mightily as he threw his head back, hair swinging.

When he spoke again it was with a quiet intensity that shook her to her core.

"<i>Everything for you</i>."
