Wonderland 24

 Aizawa woke before his alarm as he always did, but that was the only part of his morning that was like usual.

Instead of laying in bed mentally planning and readying himself for the day, he concentrated on his surroundings. His hands were holding warm, soft cloth and skin against him and there was a sleepy, soft purr rumbling near his chest. He could smell a faint drowsy, flowery scent as well. Aizawa yawned and opened his eyes.

Elly lay curled around him, her tail draped around his leg and her arms drawn up against his chest. Her head snuggled perfectly into the space between his chin and shoulder. He had one arm draped around her upper body and the other under his pillow. That one was a little tingly from being laid on all night, and he flexed his fingers with a grimace.

This woke her, and she stretched luxuriously alongside him. "Mnn... oof." Her eyes cracked open and she smiled when she saw him. "Ohhhh. It wasn't a dream."

He laughed. "Last night was very real, my queen."

She purred happily and kissed his chin, blinking at the amount of stubble. "This is wonderful. I usually wake up super bitchy, but I feel so relaxed."

Aizawa's mouth twitched in a half smile at he thought of her snarling and grumpy in the morning. "As comfortable as this is, I have to get up."

"Aww."

"You should, too. We have school, remember?" He got up and scratched his bare chest absently as he stared around. "You've got your stuff in that suitcase and bag. I suggest you dig it out before it gets even more wrinkled."

Elly sighed, watching him stretch slowly as he stood. "Mm hmm. After I stretch, too." She laid on her belly, hooking her tail into a sinuous question mark and yawning widely. When she opened her eyes she saw he had knelt to be close to her face. He cupped the side of her face in one hand and initiated a slow, sleepy kiss.

"Nmm. What was that for?"

He licked his lips, his gray eyes very soft. "For being such a cute kitty."

Elly laughed, blushing. She knew of his love for cats, but hadn't thought her stretching would set him off. Their relationship was going to get very interesting from now on as they learned so much more about each other.

"Don't be distracting or we won't make it on time."

"Me?!" She spluttered. "You're the one kissing me and telling me I'm cute!"

He wandered into the bathroom to start the day and she followed. Elly had taken her toiletries out from her luggage last night, so she had them ready. Aizawa yawned and started brushing his teeth.

"I have an idea," he murmured as he passed her the toothpaste. "Why don't you move in with me?"

"Nmm. What? Are you serious?" She spit in the sink and turned to stare at him.

"Very. It provides a simple solution to your living quarters, and we can take this relationship further. If, ah." He paused, his brow furrowing as the thought struck him that the idea might frighten her by moving too fast. "If that's what you also want, of course."

Elly cuddled close against him and kissed the hollow of his throat. "I think it's a wonderful idea, Sho. I've grown quite attached to you, if you hadn't noticed."

He coughed, embarrassed. "Yes, well. That's a good thing. Ah... we'll have to notify Nezu of the change."

"I can do that," she said as she rummaged in her bag. "I want to thank him anyway, and it's not like he doesn't know this would be the outcome. I bet he figured it out from the start."

"That's settled, then," he said in a decisive manner. "Now, would you like to shower first or second?"
