All three men stood silently for the span of about a minute. Then Zoro started forward.
"I'm gonna talk with her."
Aizawa stood his ground firmly, blocking the much larger man. "If she refuses you three times, you must leave."
Zoro clenched his jaw so tightly the muscles rippled alongside it. "Agreed," he said tightly.
Elly sat on the closed toilet seat. She was very nearly hyperventilating, her face splotchy with color and her eyes squeezed shut. She was trying to block out the sight of the swordsman staring in shock at her and Aizawa.
"Cat? Come out of there, we need to talk." He tapped lightly. "I want to apologize."
"Zoro?! No! You said you didn't want me around, now go away!"
There was a stressful silence from behind the door. Then, so low that she could barely hear it, he spoke again. "Please."
Zoro never pleaded - with anyone. She knew how much it must mean to him if he made the gesture and opened the door grudgingly. "Okay. This had better be good."
"I, uh, did a stupid thing chasing you away. I didn't really mean it."
"Really? Did you mean leaving me?" Her eyes narrowed dangerously.
He winced. "That was for your protection, cat. I ..." His jaw thrust forward as he blurted the rest out. "I didn't want to. I wanted to stay with you."
She looked like she didn't quite believe him. "You did?"
"Yes. And what's going on here, anyway? I'm gone a few weeks and you're holding hands with this guy?"
She bristled immediately. "What's it to you if I maybe, I don't know, like him?"
He snorted laughter, jerking a thumb back in Aizawa's direction. "Him. Scruffy guy with bags under his bloodshot fucking eyes and greasy hair."
"You bastard - you ... no, get out. Get out, get out, get fucking out! Shota!" Her pupils paled and she growled in anger, raising one hand in a claw position as if to swipe at him. The man in question instantly appeared and ushered Zoro to the door before that could happen.
"The hell, man?" He spluttered, uncerain as to what had just happened. "Why is she so freaking upset now?!"
"Probably because you insulted him," Sanji called out as they passed. "And her. And, oh! Implied that her taste in men sucks."
"I always talk to her whatever way I want," he grumbled to Aizawa. "She never acted this mad before."
"Things change," the leaner man murmured. He reached out to hold the front door, readying to close it behind him. "And if you've decided you want her, by the way, you'll have a fight on your hands."
Zoro glared at him. "A fight? With you?"
"Romantically speaking, of course. I'm sure she wouldn't appreciate us getting into an actual battle for her heart. Besides, those are for fairy tales." He seemed to lose his train of thought as he said this, frowning a little. "She decides who she wants, in the end."
"I'm not - who said anything about wanting..."
"Still not admitting it?" He scratched his stubbled chin. "Well. That makes it easier for me, then. Illogical though they are, I've no trouble with my feelings." He gently closed the door in the stunned man's face.
"You're playin' with fire," Knuckles snorted as he walked by. He had been visiting the pool earlier and stopped behind to listen. "Our moss-headed old boss really loves her."
Aizawa paused thoughtfully. "I believe I do as well."
"Well, la-de-freaking-da," the red echidna rolled his eyes. "Isn't that a shocker."
"Seriously?"
"Whatever, man. Just be careful." He disappeared around a corner into the shadows of a large potted plant.
Aizawa watched him go, his lips quirked in a smile. "I'm always careful." He returned to the kitchen, where she had, in true cat fashion, backed into a corner and was growling ominously in distress. "He's gone," he announced.
"The idiot," Sanji sighed bitterly.
"I'm inclined to agree with you on this account," the guard said drily. "He upset her badly."
"He - he said, he acted like you were... I don't know what happened!" She hid her face in her hands, sinking down along the wall. Aizawa scooped her up before she hit the ground.
"It's okay, Ches. He was upset."
"Well, now I'm upset!" She hissed, her tail fluffing out in all directions.
"I can see that. Thank you."
"Wh - wha?" The ingenious, wide-eyed stare she settled on him caused his knees to tremble.
"He seemed to insult me, and this made you angry. Did it not?"
"Seemed?" Sanji coughed on a cloud of cigarette-scented mist.
Her dark purple eyes grew even wider. "Uh..."
"You raised your hand to strike him, my queen," he said in as soft a tone as she ever heard from him. "Over me. Thank you."
Her ears laid back and she stiffened in his hold. "What did you call me?"
"My queen."
She blinked, understanding the feline reference: a sexually mature female. She now had two nicknames from him, and with a curious shiver she realized the only other person that had two for her was Zoro.
She wasn't sure what to make of that.
"Here, guys -" Sanji placed two hot cups of milk laced with a few things stronger on the counter. He had hopped up and made it while they were talking. "I can tell it's going to be one of those nights. Take one and go relax until dinner."
Aizawa let her go. He reached out and handed her a cup and she took it numbly. "Can we sit inside? I don't feel good about being in the open right now."
"The living room?"
"Perfect," she said wearily. Her ears drooping, she led the way. He followed, sipping on the strong toddy and amazed at her range of emotions. Now that it was over, she was completely exhausted.
Elly set her drink down and nearly fell onto the couch. He sat beside her, close but not encroaching on her personal space. "This has been an interesting day," he observed.
She snorted. "Can't ever have anything but those, here, can we." It was not exactly a question.
"Perhaps."

Peaches and Scream
"Ohhh, hey, princess. This place is freaking rad, huh?" Hizashi stared around the suite, impressed. He walked into the bedroom and dropped their bags in front of the large dresser.
"Wow," Elly murmured softly. "It's - it's gigantic. It's probably more extravagant than what we'd be able to get when we get married."
He exclaimed happily and bounded over to throw his arms around her. "You said 'when we get married'," he cooed into her ear.
"I know, but, come on - you're obviously going to ask, right? Someday? Zashi!" She crumpled in his hold, giggling as he nuzzled her neck.
"Hmm, how's it supposed to be a surprise if you already know?"
"You can - hey! -- ask me super romantically or something, okay? Eeek, quit!"
He left off tickling her with his mustache and scrunched down to place his chin on her shoulder. "Okay, okay. I just get so happy when you say things like that!"
"Zashi, there's the hot tub!"
He squealed with glee and grabbed his bag, tossing it on the luxurious looking bed. It bounced, proof that it was quite luxurious indeed, but he didn't notice since he was searching for something. He dug around in the suitcase until he found his bathing suit and held it up with a smirk. He had brought, of all things, a hot pink thong with bright blue zebra striping.
"Hizashi..." She shook her head, smiling. "You dork."
"But it was on sale." He rolled his eyes. "And I know you love those eighties neon colors."
"I do." She pursed her lips. "Especially on you, big boy."
"Mmmm. I know. Lemme change, I want to get in that hot tub."
He banged the door open later with his bare foot, grinning hugely. His hair had been done up in that adorable bun she loved - far more practical for the hot tub than wearing it down -- and he strut forward until she noticed a major difference about him.
"Oh my god, Zashi, did you manscape for this?!"
"Duh. It's a thong. I gotta rock it, baby." He thrust his hips out and posed with one arm on his waist. "Besides, otherwise it looked like there were two hamsters fighting around inside there." He pointed sadly at his crotch.
She clapped a hand to her mouth, struggling to hold in the screams of laughter bubbling up in her.
"C'mon, get dressed - or, rather, undressed... mmm hmm, yeah. Get that bikini on I know you got in there, pretty kitty, an' come out to play."
She rushed into the bathroom on his warm laughter.
A bit apprehensive about the skimpy bikini she had purchased for the trip, she checked several times to make sure everything was in place and that she had shaved properly around the wax she had gotten. She really wanted to surprise the man she loved, and since he had an absolute fetish for that part of her body she knew it would inflame him. The suit was black and gold metallic, what little fabric there was, and glinted in the soft, romantic lighting he had adjusted the suite to when she strolled out.
Hizashi had gotten the tub ready and added a packet of bubbles to the water. He lay in the spacious tub, eyes closed until he heard her footsteps. One hand raised and, grinning, clicked a button on a remote he held loosely in one hand.
Music filled the room, appropriate to the mood and causing her to shiver. He knew all her favorites, the ones that caused her to relax and the ones that made her want him even more than she did already.
"Ahhhh," he hummed suggestively. "You gotta feel how good this is."
She flicked her ears in amusement, stepping into the swirling water. "The bubbles ... or you?"
"Both." He opened his eyes, focusing directly on her own with an impish grin.
Elly's breathing picked up as she stared into his eyes. Those spiralled pupils always hypnotized her and she let herself sink into his arms and the warm water. "You're right."
"Mmn." He kissed her lips briefly, then sighed. "There's champagne and fruit over there."
"There is? Damn."
"Yeah. I didn't know they were gonna give us all this. Helps after the day we had."
"We did save the owner, sweetie. It's really, really nice of her to do all of this, though. I mean, wow."
"You want some? I can reach. And look, I opened the champagne." He demonstrated by putting his arm out to the side and sliding a full glass over to her.
"Sure, why not?" She sipped, sighed luxuriously.
"Open up, babe." He grinned mischievously and held a piece of fruit to her lips.
"Peach?"
"It's that time of year. But look, we got cherries, too. You want my cherry, baby?" He had placed one in his mouth and he rolled his r's sexily when he spoke.
Elly purred at the innuendo. "So bad, Zashi."
"Oh, my."
"I definitely want your cherry." She took it from his mouth with her own.
"Oh, shit. Oh, Ches..." He rolled his neck back, Adam's apple bobbing as he gulped. Hectic patches of color were spreading up his neck and his chest heaved as he breathed rapidly. "I - I didn't think I would, you know, get so turned on by somethin' so simple!"
"Ooh, fun." She licked the next piece, pursing her lips on the sliced fruit to kiss it before leaning over and offering it to him, still in her mouth.
"Ungh, baby," he moaned, nibbling on the end, his stare growing progressively hotter as they slowly reached each other's lips. "Baby," he gasped when they met in a psuedo kiss.
"Hih - Hizashi, your eyes," she whispered, equally dazed.
"I'm gonna lose it, an' you can see, can't ya, sweetheart? Here, one more..." This time he sucked on a sliced strawberry, his gaze never leaving hers. His tongue slipped out to slowly lick the inside, where the fruit somewhat resembled his favorite place on her body, then kissed it before offering it to her. She eagerly accepted and it was quickly dispatched, their mouths hungrily devouring it so they could do the same to each other.
"Ah, god, feels like the first time," he husked in between kisses. "You make me so hot. I wanna lick you all over like the tasty treat you are." He nipped her neck and she rolled it back, exposing her tender throat.
"Hmm - oh, sweetie, wait!" Elly yelped as he reached underneath her with a low growl that she felt in the air all around them as well as heard. Hizashi lifted her onto the stack of towels folded at the edge. Since he was still in the tub, the height difference meant he had perfect access to what he craved. Bubbles slipped down her body and pooled on the tiled flooring around them.
"Nuh uh," he shook his head and ran a finger along the wet skin of her thigh. "No way. Can't wait any more. Zashi's hungry."
She whimpered, her breath coming faster hearing him speak to her that way. "Oh..!"
"Yeahhhh," he muttered in a daze. "Zashi likes what he's seeing. Oh, sweet baby, you made yourself up down here for me, didn't ya?" He leaned down and caught the tied end of the bottom part of the suit in his teeth, pulling it open. "Sh - shit, yeah you did!"
She rolled her shoulders back and deliberately spread her legs, lifting them even as she blushed deeply at exposing herself so completely before him. He had seen her close up before, sure, lots of times. But doing it like this...
She bit her lower lip, panting in agitation. Nothing happened. Cracking one eyelid open, she peeked down to see him hunched over, stunned into immobility.
"Hizashi?"
"Ah!" He splashed backwards as he jumped. "Er... heh heh. Sorry, babe. I kinda got lost for a minute there. I was just thinking." He removed his red framed glasses and set them aside.
"About?"
"I love eating you out," he whined, nuzzling at her neatly manicured hair and causing her to gasp. "I love your taste, your smell, the absolutely wonderful sounds you make when I do it. Ah, shit, the cries! You almost make me come just from hearing how good you're feeling."
"You damn near make me come just from your voice," she groaned. "Hurry up, Zashi, I'm so horny for you."
"Let me see..." He pursed his lips, dragging his tongue thoughtfully down her exposed slit. She squeaked and her tail thumped heavily behind her. "Nope. I'm'a tease you this time until you scream almost as loud as I can." He dabbed with the tip of his tongue, pausing to kiss the top of her sex.
"No one can get as loud as you," she wheezed.
"We'll see," he sang out playfully. "Heyyy now. I don't think I've ever seen this before. I got your clit perked out just like a little button here, sticking up. So cuuuute." He kissed it reverently and she grabbed at the back of his head in desperation. "Nmm. You pull on that all you want, sweet thing. It's only gonna come loose and then my hair'll tickle you."
"Nghh!"
"Mm hmm." He chuckled as the soft hum caused her to miaow just like a cat. "I know what you want."
"Please, please do it. Finish me!"
"How exactly do you want to come, hmmmm?" This time the vibration was even softer. He was extremely careful to not overdo it just yet. "You want my tongue, my lips or my hum?"
She sobbed quietly, writhing on the damp towels and unable to voice any coherent thought. He saw this and swiftly kissed the sensitive, exposed nub of flesh, directing a gentle vibration at it.
She tightened her legs around him, crying out. "Yes! Yes! Zashi! Y - you're so amazing! So good!"
The hum increased until the tightness in her loins burst, flooding all the way up to her belly and down to the tips of her toes. He waited while she bucked against him, guiding her through it, kissing her as she wound down and then sagged backwards.
Elly pressed a hand to her chest as she sucked in great gasping lungfuls of air. "Ohmigod," she choked. "Ohhh my god. Hizashi. Hizashi, you can't keep getting better. How - how is that possible?"
He wiped water from his mustache as he had scrubbed his face quickly in the now tepid water. Pulling his half full glass towards him, he used the champagne to rinse his mouth out as well, knowing she wasn't fond of tasting herself in his kisses. "Am I that good, princess?" He spoke in a teasing manner, but her low moan caused him to pull up short.
"You are freaking magical, Zashi. I - I don't know how you do what you do to me."
"Whoo..." He jumped up out of the tub to sit beside her. "You're, uh, making me even harder here. I just do you like I love you, baby."
"Hard..? Oh, yes." She sat up, wrapping her arms around him and licking his mustache in that way she knew drove him crazy. "Mmmnn. You're busting out of that thong, lover. Why don't you take it off and do me right here?"
"You're super sensitive now!" He gave her a bewildered look that only caused her to want him more. "It'll hurt if I make love to you, no way. Lemme just ... aaah! Baby!"
Elly squeezed the lump in his bathing suit ruthlessly. "I'm sensitive down there, yes. I'm also super wet and hot. Wouldn't that feel good to slip into?" She lapped at his lips, sliding her tongue inside when he groaned. "I want this lovely, hard cock of yours, Zashi dear. And I want you to fuck me silly."
He gave up. Her words pushed him over the edge and he threw himself into the act with more zeal than his normal, over-the-top exuberance.
There was no coherent speech after that. They panted and snarled, humping like wild animals on the scattered bath towels. Now and then he would gasp as he would slide out and she would scream when he rammed back inside her. It lasted as long as it did; neither knew the length of time but they both came so strongly they fell, stunned.
Hizashi had fallen on top of her and he vented an apologetic cry when he saw she was crushed under him. "Sorry, love!"
"Nnn... s'okay. Not that bad. Kinda nice."
"Good." He flopped back down and she hugged him.
"Tub again?"
"Mmm, yeah. Soon as I can move that far."
"This is going to be a super fun weekend," she predicted sagely.
"Awww, yeah."
"Wow," Elly murmured softly. "It's - it's gigantic. It's probably more extravagant than what we'd be able to get when we get married."

Moy Mell 34
Aizawa and Elly were given a small table on the deck outside the restaurant. It was not quite hidden, though placed at such an angle that it didn't attract much attention from the other diners.
"No one expects me to be here. It's pretty relaxing." The light breeze ruffled her hair and she leaned back, eyes closed and smiling.
He glanced around approvingly. "Peaceful."
"Uh huh." She sighed. "And then, after we eat we can go back and watch that movie." She pointed at him. "You'll see what I'm talking about, then!"
He grinned crookedly. "As you wish."
"Augh!"
She nearly dragged him back after lunch to watch the movie. The room was built like a real theater but with more comfortable seats and a remote for viewing. Elly plopped down in her favorite place and gestured for him to sit beside her, which he gladly did. The room grew dark as she chose options and then flicked through the lists to pick the movie she wanted to show him.
In the very beginning the situation between the male and female was laid out and he whuffed under his breath at the highly romantic scene.
"Ahhh." Aizawa raised both eyebrows as he turned to her in the dark. "Lovers, hmm?"
"Ugh, that's why I wanted you to see this. That phrase is iconic. A lot of people know it and you say that to me all the time. We're not like them at all, we're not..." She jumped in surprise at the warm, rough palm held over her mouth that stopped her rambling.
"Shh." He motioned with his chin at the screen. "Movie's still playing."
Eyes wide, she remained silent, her lips tingling. She could still feel his hand although he had removed it. They watched the rest of the movie in silence aside from an occasional giggle from Elly at the humor. There was even what may have been laughter now and then from Aizawa in the form of a soft snort. They sat for a moment after the credits started to roll and then she sighed. When she clicked the lights back on with the remote he was sitting there with a thoughtful expression on his face.
"What did you think?"
His blood shot eyes were troubled. "The woman treated him like crap at first, but she grew to love him in a way ..." He shook his head. "It's a fairy tale. I shouldn't take it so seriously. Many parts were amusing."
"In a way that, what? What were you going to say?" She perked her ears attentively.
Aizawa coughed. "It's unrealistic." He refused to say more but she pressed anyway.
"What's unrealistic about true love like theirs? A lot of people dream of finding that, some day." She tucked a strand of hair back in a nervous gesture. The subject matter was a bit awkward to discuss with her still relatively new bodyguard. "Some dream of it for ages," she said so low he scarcely heard.
"Many dreams are illogical." He shrugged. "It's better to work hard to achieve what you can and not hope for things that may never happen."
She laid a hand on his, her eyes filled with sympathy. "I really hope you don't believe that."
He refused to look at her for once, and she could see his stubbled features were, for once, uncertain. Since he was now dressed casually, he had his hair tied back and couldn't hide his face in the dark tresses.
When they left the theater room, she reached out, hesitating for a brief moment before laying her ears back and biting her lip as if she were about to thrust her hand into fire. She gently placed her hand in his, not closing it but touching their palms together. He glanced down at her and slowly curled his fingers around hers. He said nothing, however, and they continued on their way downstairs in silence.
While the movie was wrapping up Sanji had an unexpected visitor barge in on him. He was sitting on one of the stools in the kitchen, writing plans for the next five to seven days' worth of food he would prepare when Zoro stuck his head in the door.
"She here?"
"Ahhh. Blunt as usual, except where it counts." He shook his head, gesturing with the hand that held a new, tobacco-free vape pen he was trying out. "No, moron - and it's a good thing, too. She's pissed at you."
He grunted with a frown, scratching his chest and looking around. "I tried to apologize once."
"Yeah. I heard. Tried to barge in here after you insulted and scared her off more than once. Smart." Sanji snorted a cloud of smoke off to one side in disgust.
"You were the one that told me I should talk to her!"
"Yeah, but... carefully. Not as if she was gonna just let you waltz right the fuck back in here like nothing happened." He shook his head and took a long drag from his cigarette, staring moodily up at the ceiling.
"Fuck," Zoro grunted finally, his fists clenched on the counter in front of him.
"Yeahhh. She's super angry at you. And Aizawa's got a very... interesting relationship with her now. She went from hating him to, well. They're watching a movie right now."
The big man's face grew redder and he thrust his lower lip out. "Fuck."
"I heard he warned you. Plus, didn't you tell him to be honest with her? You weren't. She doesn't know that; she thinks you're the one asshole in this place that isn't interested in her."
Zoro swore, softer this time. "Is she sleeping okay?"
The other man nodded. "That took awhile. He started tucking her in at night and it seems to work."
His single eye opened wider and he turned very slowly to blink in shock at the cook. "He what."
Sanji shrugged. "I only know what was spoken between them." He nodded as the swordsman dropped his head in his hands. "I told you it was serious. Listen, though - she was a wreck before. He had to do something. You don't get how fucked up she was from you leaving! We were all desperate."
"I gotta get back to the complex." Zoro stood suddenly, facing away so the other man couldn't see him. His voice was rough. "It'll make things worse if she sees me."
"For you, or her?"
"Shut up." He stood, tugging on the shirt he was wearing. He was just about to stomp away out the door to the main hall when he froze, choking softly.
"I did like the movie, yes."
"Well, good. And now you - you know why you shouldn't say that phrase, right?"
There she was with the new head of security beside her, walking close with their hands clasped lightly together. He blinked as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"Hey, Zoro." Aizawa called out calmly, though he was surprised to see the man here again.
Elly gasped when she noticed the swordsman and jerked away from her guard, dropping his hand and stepping quickly backwards. Her face grew red and a confused flicker of emotions played across her features as she stumbled. She cried out softly in pain and spun around, leaping into the dubious safety of the bathroom in the hall.
"He has the worst timing," Sanji noted acidly in the background.
"Me?" Aizawa asked mildly.
"No, shit-for-brains over there." He pointed at the green-haired man standing in a daze.

Care Day (Shota)
"I'm sorry, Mr. Principal... yes. No, I wouldn't ask for this unless it was necessary. You understand. Thank you." Aizawa hung up and set his phone aside, wiping a hand across his bleary eyes. His girlfriend was struggling to hide her crying, and he wasn't quite certain what he should do.
"Ches, I called in for both of us. We're staying home today." He sat on the edge of the bed, reaching out to pat the huddled form under the covers.
Her reaction was immediate and alarming. She shot straight up and he saw her eyes were red from weeping. "Oh, no! No, we can't do that! I'm fine, really, Sho - look, I'm - I'm gonna get up and..."
"We can. I already did." He placed an arm about her shoulders. "Ches, it's okay to take time to heal yourself. You're clearly hurting and you need my help."
"No no no no no no!" She blurted out a nearly unintelligible reply in her panic, going so far as to vanish in front of him. She shrugged his arm off and suddenly all he could see was the depression her body made in the mattress.
"<i>Cheshire!</i>" His hair flashed upright and he trained his red gaze on her, negating her quirk.
Visible once more, Elly took a long, quivering breath and looked up, cringing at his sharp tone like a child being scolded. "But I can ... I can do it."
"I'm sorry, but I had to get your attention. I'm not angry." This time he pulled her carefully onto his lap in a closer embrace. He had showered already and had his black undershirt on and a maroon pair of boxer briefs. His still-wet hair was pulled into a loose ponytail and it flicked over his shoulder as he moved. He shook it absently back and took a gamble on why she was so insistent on leaving, hoping to calm her fears. "You're not going to be hurt or made fun of if you stay here with me. It will be all right."
Her ears trembled, still laid all the way back in distress. "Are you sure it's okay?"
"Yes." Aizawa's reply was quick and sure. He tightened his grip when she began to cry openly, burying her face in his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, I can't help it, some days I wake <i>up</i> like this!"
"You're fine," he repeated. "I'll take care of you, my queen." One of his hands stroked her hair while she wept. "There's no need to apologize. I still love you and no harm has been done."
"Every time I did this before I was punished," she sniffled softly. "As a child, but especially as an adult. I try so hard to push through, but honestly, it only gets worse. My concentration isn't there on days like these. It's focused on bad memories."
"I gathered as much." He stopped to think. "Would you like me to run you a bath instead of a shower? It's more relaxing and I can help."
Elly sighed and forced herself to look directly at her boyfriend. His gray eyes were very soft this morning, and there was a hint of a calm smile on his lips. "I would really love a lot of help, if you don't mind."
"All right." He considered for a moment and then stood to pick her up.
She laid her head on his shoulder and sighed again. "Thank you."
"No need, but you're welcome." He carried her into the bathroom and set her down on the edge of the tub while he ran the water. "Do you want one of those bath ... uh. Things?"
"Bath bombs? Oooh. I forgot I had those unscented ones. Yeah, they're in the cabinet in a little container."
He got one out and opened it while the water ran and she slowly undressed. "Is there anything special you might want to eat for breakfast, my queen?"
"Shota," she murmured in mild surprise. "Are you actually pampering me?"
Aizawa raised one eyebrow at her, his bloodshot eyes blinking. "Am I doing it right?"
She reached out to stroke the stubble on his cheek. "Yes. And I love you so much for trying."
He caught her hand and held it against him a while longer, closing his tired eyes. "Hnf. Bacon?"
"Yes!" This time she actually laughed.
"Good. I picked some up last night for the weekend, but will make it now. You soak, I'll burn the meat..."
"Shota!"
He grinned hugely at her. "I defy you to come up with another name for how I cook."
"Errr..."
"Yes." His knees popped slightly as he got up. "I'll be back to do your hair like I promised." He planted a light kiss on her forehead, then left for the kitchen. "Don't hesitate to call me if you need me."
"Yes, dear."
He snorted again, this time mixed with a laugh.
Elly sank into the fizzy, warm water until it started to grow cool. The apartment was silent except for an occasional drip from the water and the sizzling sounds coming from down the hall as Aizawa cooked breakfast. The scent of the bacon was working its magic, causing her stomach to growl with hunger when she could have sworn she would have been too ill to eat before. She was so, so tired though, and she found herself dozing until she felt a soft brush on her lips.
"You never called me, so I came to check up on you," he explained. "Sleepy kitty, you still need your hair done."
"Nmmm. So tired."
"I know. Just sit up a little." He ran a bit more warm water in the tub and then filled the small bucket he held in one hand. "There we go."
"You want me to stay awake while you do that?!" She could barely keep her eyes open through the gentle rubbing on her scalp. "Mm, baby, all I want is to eat and then cuddle up for a nap."
"No arguments from me there." He rinsed her purple tresses off with the bucket, covering her forehead so the soapy water wouldn't get in her eyes.
"You never turn down a nap," she agreed, yawning.
"Especially not with you." He set the bucket down. "All clean. The faster you dress and finish up, the closer you are to that nap."
She got up quicker than she might have otherwise. After eating, they adjourned to the couch where he laid down and let her snuggle on top of him. She had dressed in a t-shirt and sweatpants, and was so comfortable in his strong, warm hold that she immediately began purring.
After a few cozy minutes she spoke. "I want to thank you again." She tilted her head back and kissed his throat, the spot closest to her. "You make me feel so much better. That's all I need to pull through, some extra love and affection."
"Not a big deal," he yawned. "I've got enough of that, to spare, for you."
"Ches, I called in for both of us. We're staying home today." He sat on the edge of the bed, reaching out to pat the huddled form under the covers.

Stud Dud
Elly stopped at one of those small stands in the middle of the mall to glance at some earrings. "These are so cute. Mmn, Zashi?"
"You thinkin' about getting your ears done, princess?"
"No, but I just had a thought. Did you ever want to?"
Hizashi wrinkled his nose at the display. "I couldn't do it, babe. I did want to when I was a kid, but... ouch. Stabbing holes in your ears? Count me out."
She giggled. "I've seen anthros with earrings before, sometimes cuffs. I tried some when I was young, too. They're just not comfortable on these." She waggled her furry purple cat's ears, pointing up at them. "I still get wistful sometimes, though, when I see people with them."
At this point he was hunched over, staring crookedly at the lower display. "Babe, what about a new thingy for your choker? Look!"
This jewelry chain carried the popular line of Pro Hero charms. Sitting appropriately next to each other were their respective logos - a cheshire cat's grinning face and a microphone.
"Awww, cute! I'm getting yours, sweetie. It'll go with my ring."
Hizashi blinked. "For real? It's on sale?!"
The young man behind the kiosk popped up with a smile. He wore a plain white t-shirt with the shop's name on it and jeans with black leather boots. His mid-length blue hair was waxed backwards in an approximation of a style they knew quite well. It looked like they had found a fan.
"Hi! Yeah, that one's - well, I maybe ordered too many." He laughed sheepishly. "I got excited and..." He paused as he locked eyes with Elly, who as usual had scorned the stocking disguise she owned for her tail. This made her easily recognizable, though people didn't approach since they selfishly didn't notice others within the course of their day. Hizashi liked to call it 'hiding in plain sight', and they made outrageous bets to see how many folks saw through it.
"Aw. You got one," he muttered as the guy struggled to recover.
"Looks like it," she agreed with a grin.
"Oh. Oh, sorry! I uh, oh wow! But you're here to look. This one, right?" He reached in and unclipped the golden microphone from the display board.
"Yep." Her smile grew wider when she saw the attendant was digging around in another section.
"Where is that... here! Uh, Ms. Cheshire? I can add a charm with that one so they're both visible on your choker - and we have these that would look awesome with it right now." He set another display on the counter.
"Awww, shit babe, hearts an' lovey stuff! That's freakin' sweet." Hizashi gave her a huge smooch on her neck, causing her to giggle like a schoolgirl while she picked another to match the one already set aside.
The second burst of recognition almost killed the poor salesman. <i>If he was kissing her, he had to be..!</i>
He staggered back, his eyes widening even further as he took in the guy in front of him. Hizashi's casual clothing was enough to make him indistinguishable from another civilian in the crowd. Once the bubble popped, though, fans mostly said the same thing.
"I should've recognized your <i>voice!</i>"
He laughed. "You'd think so, right? Don't worry, not a 'lotta people do." He paused to look at what his girlfriend had chosen in appreciation. "Aw. You gonna get the infinity heart?"
"You know anything larger than that?"
"Nope." He stared so lovingly into her eyes that the sales clerk lost track of what he was doing.
"You guys," he finally cleared his throat when they turned back to him. "You're really something else. I've met heroes and I've met couples, but I just have to say you two are the most in love people I've ever seen." He stammered a little, aware that he might have overstepped his bounds, but they were still happily smiling.
"Thank you," Elly said simply.
"We gross some people out," Hizashi confessed with a low chuckle.
"Can't help it, though," she added impishly.
"You thinkin' about getting your ears done, princess?"
"No, but I just had a thought. Did you ever want to?"

Birthday 2019 (Aizawa)
Aizawa led her inside the small room on the side of the bar they frequented. It was dark, so Elly couldn't see until he manually flicked the lights on.
"<i>Surprise!</i>"
The room was packed full of their mutual colleagues and friends wearing comical foil hats and blowing noisemakers. Hizashi hadn't been allowed one of those, of course, so he had resorted to throwing confetti. He flew into his task with extra enthusiasm, resulting in a double handful of glittery rainbow paper tossed in her direction.
Elly blew the multicolored dots off her face, her eyes squeezed shut and furry ears flicking more bits onto her shoulders.
"Oops! Sorry!"
Aizawa rubbed at the back of his neck, beginning to look nervous. "I thought this would be a good idea; if you're upset, we can, ah, slip away in the back." He paused, calculating the mood of the room and correctly accessing it as 'mostly drunk'. "They probably won't even notice."
She slowly turned to face him, her expression dumbfounded. "You - you did this? But you <i>hate</i> public displays - and, and this is all ..."
"I thought you would enjoy it."
"I love it!"
Aizawa's brows drew together in confusion. "But..."
"I love it more <i>because</i> you did all this when you hate social stuff. You did it for me anyway. That's - that's so special." She placed a hand over her mouth, her voice breaking.
"Don't cry, please..." He cringed as he heard them yelling at him in the background. "They're going to think I've said something insensitive and try to help."
"Pfff! Too bad." She laughed and he grinned, relieved. "There's a song that goes, 'it's my party and I'll cry if I want to'. They're happy tears, though."
Aizawa swallowed hard, blushing and hating himself for not being able to control the physical reaction.
"Happy birthday, then."
She touched his shoulder lightly, her eyes shining. "Thank you."

Birthday 2019 (Hizashi)
It was still dark, in the early morning hours when her alarm went off. Elly yawned and rolled over with a smile. It was one of the few times she was happy to get up every week: her boyfriend would be coming home after his stint at the radio station. She got up and pulled her robe on, intent on getting coffee and waking up a little before he arrived. As she stumbled down the hall she wasn't thinking much.
Elly fumbled for the light switch, but there was a piece of paper taped over it. Frowning, she pulled it free and squinted sleepily at it.
"You are the light of my life."
Chuckling, she was about to switch it on when she saw the living room. She gasped, her hand opening on its own as she took in the sight before her. The note fluttered to the floor.
There were tiny, battery-powered tea lights spread across the floor in front of their coffee table. He had arranged them to spell out 'I love you' with their soft, flickering glow. On the table itself were several helium-filled balloons and a vase of her favorite flowers, besides a small hand wrapped gift and an envelope. As she bent to pick up the envelope, soft, romantic music filled the room.
"Zashi, I know you're here."
A ghostly chuckle floated in the air, and he stepped out of the shadows in the kitchen, smiling sheepishly. He hadn't changed yet and still wore his leather gear, though he had taken his neck speaker off. "Happy birthday, baby."
"You got home early!"
He kissed her nose. "Yep. Of course!"
She flung her arms around his neck. "You know you didn't need to get me anything."
He blew air noisily out his puffed cheeks. "No way! This is a special day. I wanted to 'cause you deserve it."
"Well... okay." She teased him with a corner of the envelope. "I guess I'd better see what's in here, huh?"
He blushed a little, coughing. "Yeah. You better!"
The card was cute, a little kitten wrapped up in ribbons and paper from a gift that had been opened. She smiled and opened it to see he had written more inside.
"I'm so happy every morning when I wake up and you're there. I can't imagine a life without you, baby, so today is a very special day because without it I wouldn't have you." Her face scrunched up and she wept, turning to him on the couch and burying her face in his shirt.
"Aww, babe, I didn't mean to make you cry." He smiled and stroked her hair. "Look, it had to be said, right? And y'haven't even opened your gift yet."
Elly sniffed. "I have what I want right here," she declared firmly. "Hold me for awhile longer, Mikey. That's the best feeling in the world." She reverted to calling him by his hero name, as she did when he wore his gear.
"Eh?" He wrapped his arms around her and nestled close. She smelled his bubblegum and leather scent, strong because he had been wearing his outfit for hours. "With these wimpy arms? Puh-leeze."
"Wimpy?!" She laughed. "You work out as much as any hero, sweetie. You're definitely not wimpy."
"Yeah, but yanno, compared to some, my build's not that... hey! You naughty kitty, you distracted me! This isn't about me, it's your day." He reached out to grab the box on the table. "Open it, open it!"
She started giggling when she didn't tear the paper off fast enough for him and he groaned. "Mic!"
He laughed eagerly, tipping his orange-tinted prescription shades down. "Yer gonna like it."
"Ohhhh." The box was revealed, and she stared at it, amazed. It was a coffee set from a luxury brand she had admired. There was a press and a small grinder for the fine roasted beans that came with it. "This is so awesome!"
He kissed the side of her neck. "Mmn, babygirl, that's not all. Look." He picked up a small, intricately embossed card that was inside the box and showed it to her.
Her ears perked as she read. "Oooh!" She gasped, eyes widening. "You got me coffee every month for a year?"
"I know you love their stuff, so now you can try all their flavors."
"Thank you!" She kissed him fervently on the mouth, purring when she felt his gloved hands rubbing her back.
"Anything for you, babe," he panted when they broke for air. "Um. Hey, speaking of..."
"Nmm?"
"You want some of this before I change?" He plucked at the front of the leather jacket he was wearing. "I really could use a shower, but - yikes!"
Elly smothered him with kisses, especially his neck, which had only recently been relieved of the heavy speaker. "Are you kidding?! Do I want some of - seriously, when do I pass up the chance to make out with Present Mic?"
He chuckled, wiggling his eyebrows at her. "Never, so far as I know. You better watch out, Hizashi might get jealous."
She giggled faintly, her tail lashing behind her. "No way. I love you as a whole person."
"D'aww, yer too cute!"
They kissed for some time, Hizashi carefully laying on top of her on the couch in the candlelit room. Since she was only wearing her robe over a simple t-shirt, this provided him with a lot of opportunities.
"Mmm... hey, sorry I'm a little sweaty." He paused from where he had been nibbling on her right breast. Her hands had dipped lower on his body and he knew he was very, very hot there.
"You're always a little sweaty in leather. Even when you're freezing, you're sweaty."
He laughed. "True 'dat. Um. Um, hey, heyyyy now, baby! Remember what I said about this bein' your day, not m - mine. I'm like, seven days later."
She left off toying with the zipper on his pants to grin at him. "I know."
He panted hotly into her mouth with his next passionate kiss. "What's my number-one listener want, then, hmmm?"
"She would love if you slipped yourself out of your pants and made love to her like this."
"Aw, princess, clothed sex. I shoulda known, it's your favorite kink."
She burst out laughing. "Just take me, Present Mic."
He gave her his most intense stare, with one green eye squinted and the other huge. Elly whimpered, instantly lost as always in those mesmerizing eyes. "Whatever the birthday girl wants, she gets."
Elly fumbled for the light switch, but there was a piece of paper taped over it. Frowning, she pulled it free and squinted sleepily at it.
