Mad Cat and Loud Boy

Els x Hizashi

_

Hizashi threw another log on the fire. It crackled, spewing a few ashes up into the air. The flames flared up and began producing a cheery warmth in the cabin he had rented. "There, now. It'll take a bit, but this place should get toasty."

"Oh, good." Elly said, looking up from where she had been inspecting the cabinets. "And there's plenty of food - geez, how much did you order?"

"Enough." He pursed his lips, rocking back on the balls of his feet. "You know what else? I got something special in the fridge, yo!"

"Champagne!"

He chuckled and took the bottle from behind her, kissing her neck in passing. "Nothing but the best for you, love."

"You're the sweetest man, you know that?"

"That's my babygirl," he grinned as he rummaged around in the cabinet for two glasses. "Only person that thinks I'm sweet instead of stupid." He spun about, shooting finger guns at her and winking. "Cause I shotcha with a great big arrow of looooove..."

She burst out laughing. "'Arrow of love'?!"

He thrust his lip out in a thoughtful pout. "I'll try again. Um..."

"Don't bother, it was perfect." She hugged him, fingers sinking into the hideous sweater he was wearing. She'd teased him about it earlier - a purple and yellow monstrosity with bananas in a row along the bottom. If that wasn't bad enough, the word itself was stitched above each yellow fruit. Her hands wandered and he giggled. "Oops. Sorry, I know how ticklish you are."

"S'okay." He grinned. "Maybe later, you know..." He trailed off suggestively, wiggling his eyebrows at her.

"If you're good," she laughed. He set two filled glasses on the counter.

"Baby, I'm always good." She took one and so did he. Before she could lift hers, however, he grinned mischievously and hooked her arm in his.

"Really?" She blushed happily as they carefully maneuvered so they were drinking from each other's glasses. The sweet bubbles added to the warm glow spreading in her stomach.

"Delicious," he murmured, staring deeply into her eyes from under his glasses.

Her lips twitched. "I know what you're thinking, you know."

"Oh?" He placed a hand on the small of her back and led her to the fluffy rug in front of the fire. They sat with dual sighs of contentment.

"This is nice," she told him happily.

Hizashi reached out and held her hand in his. "Yeah."

"Cuddle me?"

"Aww." He crawled over closer and wrapped an arm around her. "So cute."

She wrinkled her nose up at him. "You're the one that's cute."

"Am not," he smiled, then kissed her upturned lips. She pressed back, purring. This went on for several long, delightful minutes. Hizashi swept a hand around, checking his hair. Only a few strands had come loose from the double-wrapped bun, so he left it alone and continued kissing her.

"I love you so much, my princess," he whispered. "You're my everything."

"A bit old to be a princess though," she chuckled in embarrassment.

"If you were a queen, I would be your king." He pulled her head to his chest where his heart beat strongly under his sweater. "That means we'd be married."

"M - married?"

"Don't worry, love," he assured her softly. "I'm not proposing." He kissed the top of her head then hummed in her ear. "...yet."

"Yamada Hizashi."

"You better like that name." He laughed indulgently. "I want you to share it some day." Elly clutched at his fuzzy, warm sweater. How did he always know exactly what to say to cause her heart to race and her mind to fall into lovely chaos? She looked up into his eyes, losing herself in the gorgeous green spirals.

"You're so fucking handsome, you know."

"Pffft...!" He covered his mouth with one hand.

"Your eyes..." She sighed dreamily and his face started to burn. "Your hair, your mustache. All the adorable faces you make!"

"Hey, now." He smiled sweetly and touched the tip of his finger to her nose. "You're embarrassing me. I'm nothing special. Just a loud guy that loves an insane kitty."

"That's about it," she chuckled, relaxing in his embrace. "Loud guy and insane kitty."
